Gian Deep Public School

Gian Deep Public School is located right in Karhali village, on the Phirni road. It’s a quiet spot near Karhali Sahib in the Patiala district. We’ve been here for the local kids for quite some time. The school isn't some big city building with glass walls. It's a simple place with bricks and mortar that we try to keep clean. The 147101 area is mostly farmland, so many of our students come from farming families. During the harvest season, things get a bit quiet as some kids stay back to help, but we understand how it is. We have a few trees in the courtyard where the kids sit when it’s not too hot. Our office is just a small room with a wooden table and a couple of cupboards for the records. We don't have a big computer lab, just a couple of machines that we share. Most of the teaching happens with books and talk. We know every student by their first name and we probably know their parents too. It’s a small community. We don't have a fancy bus service; most kids just walk or come on cycles. We just want to give them a decent place to learn their lessons. It's a humble setup, but it works for us and the people here in Karhali. We just try to do our best for the children.
