Dayanand Anglo Vedic School

Our school is over at 23 Bhupindra Road, which is right near the Columbia Asia Hospital. It’s a fairly busy part of town, so there is always something going on outside our gates. The building itself is an older one, with thick walls and high ceilings that keep it somewhat cool during the summer months. We’ve been at this location for a long time, and the building shows its age in the way the floors are worn smooth and the paint is peeling in some corners. We don’t have a lot of modern bells and whistles. Most of our classrooms have simple wooden desks and benches that have been used by many students before. The proximity to the hospital means we hear sirens every now and then, but we just keep going with our lessons. There’s a small area where students can gather during their lunch break, but it’s not a huge campus. We focus on the daily routine of teaching and making sure the students are where they need to be. The staff room is usually a mess of papers and tea cups, as we’re always busy with something. It’s a very traditional setup, without any of the flashy stuff you see in newer schools. We just do our jobs and try to keep the place running smoothly for everyone who comes here. It is a lot of effort, but we are used to the pace of Bhupindra Road.
