D A V Public School is located at 23-B, Bhupindera Road in the Punjabi Bagh area of Patiala. This part of Patiala has a lot of history, and you can feel it when you walk down the street. The school has been part of this neighborhood for a long time now. We have old trees that give a lot of shade, which is nice during the summer months when the heat gets intense. Inside, the walls are covered with student work and old photos from years ago. It’s not a shiny new building, but it has a lot of character and some creaky doors that we’ve just gotten used to over time. The staff here mostly lives nearby, so we see each other at the market or around town even when we aren't working. We don't use a lot of big words to describe what we do. We just open the doors, ring the bell, and get through the lessons one by one. There’s always a bit of noise from the Bhupindera Road traffic, but once you get into the back classrooms, it gets a lot quieter. Sometimes we have to deal with power cuts or a leaky tap, but that’s just part of life in an older building. We focus on the students and making sure they have their books and their seats, without worrying about looking like a big corporate entity.
