Shiv Shai Hair Cating

If you head over toward the Mill Gate in Subhash Nagar B, you will find our little shop, Shiv Shai Hair Cating. I know the name on the sign might look a bit different to some people who see it, but we have always gone by it. We are right there by the gate, so we see all the workers coming and going every single day. It is a busy spot with trucks and bikes moving past all the time. We mostly do quick cuts for the men working nearby. They don't have much time to waste, so we try to get them sorted and back to their shifts. The shop isn't very large. It is just enough space for a few chairs and a place for people to wait their turn on the wooden bench. We have been part of the Subhash Nagar neighborhood for a good while now. You get used to the noise from the mill after a few days. We keep our tools sharp and the water ready. It is honest work. We don't have fancy air conditioning or anything, just a good ceiling fan that works hard. People stop by to chat as much as they do for a haircut. That is just how it is in this part of town. You find us easily enough once you get to the Mill Gate area. We are usually there from early morning until the sun goes down and the shifts change.
