Jagdish Bhai Hair Saloon

Jagdish Bhai Hair Saloon is just a simple spot on the Ranakpur Falna Road. We have two chairs and some big mirrors that have seen better days. The road outside is always busy with people traveling between the towns, and the dust usually blows right in through the open door. We keep a small radio playing in the corner to pass the time when it is quiet. Most of the men from the nearby villages stop by here for a quick trim or a shave. We don't have any of those fancy spa treatments you see in the city. It is just scissors, combs, and a straight razor. We spend most of our day standing on our feet, talking to whoever is sitting in the chair. You hear a lot of news and gossip on this road. Sometimes the power goes out, and we have to finish a cut using the light from the doorway. We keep a bucket of water and some clean towels ready. The floor gets covered in hair pretty fast, so we are always sweeping it up into a corner. It is a small life but it is ours. We have been at this same spot on the Falna Road for a long time, and everyone knows the blue sign outside. It is just a place to get your hair done and talk about the rain or the crops.
