Narayan Hair Cutting

We are located on Station Road in Himat Nagar, right near the Police Line Road. It’s a busy spot because of the trains and the police quarters nearby. Narayan Hair Cutting is just a two-chair shop. We have the usual stuff like some old mirrors, a few combs soaking in blue liquid, and a radio that mostly plays old songs. It’s not a place for a fancy makeover. Most men just come in for a quick side-cut or a shave before they go to work. We have a bench outside where people sit and chat while they wait. The floor is usually covered in hair until we get a chance to sweep it up between customers. It’s a small room, and it gets quite warm when the sun hits the front window in the afternoon. We know everyone’s name and what’s going on in their lives. It’s more of a community spot than a business sometimes. We don't use any expensive shampoos or stuff like that. Just regular soap and water. The towels are clean but they’ve been washed so many times they’re a bit thin. We open early for the office crowd and stay open late for the guys coming back from the station. It’s just a steady rhythm of snipping scissors and the occasional sound of a siren from the police line. It is what it is, just a place for a haircut.
