Down at Jalori Darwaja 40, you’ll find Moomal Hair Craft. I have been cutting hair here for a long time. The shop is small but it has everything we need. Most of the day is spent with a pair of scissors in my hand. We do all kinds of hair styles for the local guys and kids. It gets pretty noisy on the weekends when everyone wants a haircut at the same time. I have a couple of chairs and a big mirror that’s seen better days. The walls have some old pictures on them. People like to come in and just chat about what is happening in the city. It’s a good spot right by the gate. I learned how to cut hair from my uncle and I just kept practicing until I opened my own place. We don’t do anything too fancy, just good clean cuts. Sometimes people ask for things I’ve never heard of, and we just try our best to figure it out together. The floor is usually covered in hair until the end of the shift when I finally get a chance to sweep up. It’s hard work on your feet all day, but it’s what I know. Jalori Darwaja is a busy area so there is always something to look at out the window. Stop in whenever the door is open. We are usually here from morning until late evening.
