Maruti Seeds

If you head down Bali Sesli Road, you’ll find us at Maruti Seeds. It’s a dusty stretch of road but it gets a lot of farmers and tractors passing by. We set up here because it’s easy for people to pull over and load up whatever they need. The shed is big and holds everything we need for the season. We spend a lot of time talking about the weather and the soil because that’s what everyone around here cares about. It isn't a clean, indoor job; there is always a bit of dirt on the floor and some seeds scattered in the corners. We don't have a receptionist or a waiting room. You just walk in and find one of us in the back or near the scales. Some days are slow when the planting is done, and other days we can barely keep up with the people coming in. We’ve learned to take it as it comes. The sun beats down on the roof in the summer, making it pretty warm inside, but we keep the fans going. We aren't trying to be the biggest place on the road, just a reliable one where folks can get what they need without a lot of talk. It’s just a regular business on a regular road, doing what we know how to do best.
