Swarna Enterprises

Swarna Enterprises is over at the New Bus Stand in the New Sabji Mandi, right at shop number 10. Being right next to the bus stand means we see a lot of different people coming and going every hour. It is a very loud place with the drivers shouting and the engines idling nearby. We mostly deal with the daily routine of the mandi, which means our day starts very early before most people are even awake. We have a lot of heavy lifting to do, moving bags and crates from the trucks into our small space. The shop is number 10, so we are right in the middle of the row. We have an old desk where we sit to take care of the bills and talk to the regulars who come by. There is always dust in the air from the dry ground and the movement of all the people, so we are constantly dusting off our surfaces. We don't have any fancy decorations or soft chairs. It is a place for work, and that is what we do from morning until evening. Sometimes we share some snacks or a cup of tea with the guys from shop number 9 or 11 when we have a break. It’s a community of workers who are all trying to make a living in this busy town. We just keep our heads down and focus on the tasks we have for the day until it's time to lock up.
