Shivsai Perforation Works

You can find us at Gala No. 11 in the Mehta Compound. We are right opposite Fiza Hotel in the Golani area of Waliv, Vasai East. It’s a loud place to work because we do perforation, which means a lot of punching holes in metal sheets. The machines make a rhythmic thumping sound that you get used to after a few days. The heat in Vasai can be quite something in the summer, especially with all the machines running. We try to keep the big doors open for some air. Since we are opposite Fiza Hotel, it helps people describe where to go when they are looking for us for the first time. We don't have any polished sales people or a big website. It’s just a bunch of us working with metal every day. Sometimes we have to move heavy stacks of sheets, which is a lot of work. The floor is concrete and pretty worn out from all the years of moving stuff around. We've been in this compound for a long time. People around here know us as the ones who do the hole-punching work. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s what we know. We have our lunch at the small tea stall nearby. Most days are long, and we go home pretty tired and covered in metal dust. It’s a practical business for people who need metal parts processed. We just keep the machines running and get the orders out on time.
