Jarsons Metal

Jarsons Metal is located at Plot No. 18 in the Ganesh Industrial Estate, right off National Highway No. 8 in the Walive Village area of Vasai East. Being so close to the highway is good for transport but it means it’s always dusty and loud outside. We deal with a lot of heavy metal pieces here. The sound of hammers and grinders is constant from morning until evening. It's a rough and tumble kind of place. We have stacks of iron and steel plates leaning against the walls, and you have to watch where you're walking so you don't trip over a stray bar. The roof is high, which is good for the heat, but the monsoon rain makes so much noise on the metal sheets that we can barely hear ourselves talk. We aren't a big outfit, just a few of us who know how to weld and cut. Most of our customers come from the nearby villages or small businesses in Vasai. We don't do much advertising; people usually just hear about us through word of mouth. Sometimes we stay late to finish a big order, and we’ll order some food from the local dhaba. It’s basic, honest work. We take the raw metal and turn it into something useful, and that’s about all there is to it. No fancy titles, just a lot of sweat and heavy lifting. We've been here at Plot 18 for a while and just keep at it.
