If you come down to the Dhumal Nagar Industrial Area, you’ll find us at Sagar Industrial Estate. We are in Gala No. N/2 of Building C/2. It’s quite close to the Hi Tech Weigh Bridge, which is a big landmark around here. The whole area is filled with the sound of metal hitting metal and machines running. At Vk Fabrication, our space is pretty much filled with welding equipment, steel rods, and half-finished projects. It’s a gritty place. There’s iron dust on almost everything. We wear our old clothes because they’re going to get stained anyway. We don't have a fancy office for meetings; we usually just talk to people right there on the shop floor. It can get pretty hot in the summer under the industrial roof. We have a couple of large fans, but they just move the hot air around. Sometimes the work is heavy and we need a few people to move things. We don't have any corporate slogans. We just take the measurements, do the cutting, and finish the welding. The neighbors in the other galas are mostly doing similar work, so we all know each other. It’s a community of workers. We start our day early when the air is still a bit cool. It’s a tough job, but it’s what we do. We’ve been here for several years now and the routine is the same every day. We just focus on the metalwork.
