Raj Industries

You can find Raj Industries at Unit 4 in the Mahavir Industrial Estate. We are out in Virar East, just off Veer Savarkar Road. It’s a bit of a trip to get out here, but it’s a good place for a small factory like ours. The estate is always buzzing with activity from the other units. Our space is basically just one big room where we keep all the equipment. It’s loud and it can get pretty greasy on the floor, but that’s just the nature of what we do. We have a small crew of workers who have been with us for years. We don't have any formal uniforms or anything like that. Most of us just wear old clothes that we don't mind getting dirty. There’s a tiny desk in the corner that we use for the paperwork, but most of the time we are out on the floor. The roof is made of tin, so when it rains, it’s almost impossible to hear anything else. We don’t have any fancy air conditioning, so we just keep the big doors open to let the breeze in. It’s hard work and the days are long, but we like the feeling of making things with our hands. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to sit around and wait, but we use that time to talk and have some tea. We aren't looking to become some giant corporation. We’re just local people doing our jobs.
