Plastron Steel Pvt. Ltd. is located out in Vasai East. We have unit number 12 in the Sheeta Industrial Complex No. 2. If you know the area, it is mostly warehouses and small factories around here. It can get pretty hot in the summer because of all the metal and the way the buildings are grouped together. We spend most of our time out on the floor or in the small office area we have set up. It isn’t much to look at, just a practical space for steel work. The trucks come in and out all day long, so there is always noise from the loading docks and the nearby units. We started here because the space was right for what we needed at the time. There is a lot of dust sometimes, which is just part of being in an industrial estate. We drink a lot of tea and try to keep things moving. Most of the staff has been here for years, so we all know how the machines sound when they are running right. It isn’t a glamorous job, but it is steady work. We do not really do much advertising. People usually find us through word of mouth or because they are also in the complex. Vasai has changed a lot since we moved in, with more buildings going up every year. But our little corner of the complex stays pretty much the same. We just keep our heads down and handle the orders.
