Kedarnath Polishwala

We’ve been at Narmada Smruti for quite some time now. It’s tucked away in the Hariom Park Society area, which is part of Bhayander East. Most people find us by coming down Cabin Road and looking for building B210. The shop isn't fancy at all. It's mostly just a practical space where the actual polishing work gets done throughout the day. There is often a lot of dust floating around because of the nature of the jobs we take on. We usually start quite early in the morning when the first bit of sun hits the front of the building. You’ll see us there with our tools and various materials spread out across the floor. It gets a bit noisy during the peak hours, but the neighbors in the society are used to the sound by now. Bhayander East has changed quite a bit since we first set up here. There are more shops now and the traffic on Cabin Road has gotten much heavier than it used to be years ago. We prefer to keep things simple. My desk is usually covered in old receipts and small samples. Sometimes the local tea guy comes around twice a day and we take a short break then. People from the society often drop by just to ask a quick question or see how a particular piece is coming along. We don't have a big sign or anything, just the name Kedarnath Polishwala on the door. It’s a small team, just a few of us making sure the work is handled. We don’t spend much time on phones unless someone is calling for an update. Mostly, we are just busy with the actual work on the floor until it’s time to head home.
