Amit Metals

Amit Metals is located at Golani Naka, specifically in Rajprabha Udyog Nagar. We take up four galas, from 13 to 16, in Extension 2, Building Number 1. It’s an industrial area, so it’s always noisy and full of trucks. We deal with a lot of metal here, so there is plenty of heavy lifting involved. The floors are concrete and usually have some dust on them, no matter how much we sweep. It’s hard work, but we are used to it. We start early in the morning when the sun is barely up. Moving sheets and pipes takes a lot of effort and we have to be careful. The team consists of guys who have been doing this for years. We don't have a marketing department or anyone to write fancy stuff for us. We just know our metals. Sometimes the machines act up and we have to fix them ourselves. It’s a practical place for practical people. The office part is just a small corner with a couple of chairs and a desk where we handle the bills. Most of our day is spent out on the floor. It’s hot in the summer and cold in the winter, but that’s just how it goes in an industrial estate. We keep things moving and make sure the orders are loaded up correctly for the drivers who come by every single day and wait their turn for the materials.
