Vh Crafts India

Our workshop is tucked away on the first floor of C 83/9 in Mohanpuri. It’s not a huge space, but we make it work for everything we do here at Vh Crafts India. Mohanpuri is a bit of a maze sometimes with all its twists and turns, but once you find us, it’s a quiet enough place to get some real work done. We spend a lot of time with our hands on the materials, making sure things look right before they go out. It’s a bit messy with scraps and tools scattered about the tables, but there’s a system to it all that only we really understand. We don’t have a fancy showroom or anything like that because we prefer to spend our money on better materials instead. People usually come to us because they know we are actually making the stuff right here on the floor, not just importing it from somewhere else. Most days, it’s just the sound of tools and maybe a radio playing some old songs in the background. We have tea breaks together twice a day and talk about what needs to be finished by the end of the week. It’s a small-scale operation, and that’s how we like it because we can see every detail of what leaves the door. Being on the first floor means we get a bit of a breeze if we leave the windows open, which is nice when it gets hot in the afternoon. We just keep our heads down and keep making things.
