Rub Handicrafts

Rub Handicrafts is our little business located at E-191/6 in Chand Bagh. It’s a simple place where we do our work and keep our stock. Chand Bagh is a crowded neighborhood, and our shop is right in the middle of it. We don't have a big storefront with lights. It’s just a plain door where we come in every morning. We deal in various types of handicrafts. Most of the time, the floor is covered with packing materials and boxes because we are always moving things around. It’s just a few of us working here, mostly family members. We don't have any formal training in business; we just learned by doing it every day. We don't use fancy words to describe what we do. We just buy crafts and sell them. It’s a lot of manual labor, carrying things up and down the stairs. The neighborhood is loud and there’s always something going on outside, but we just focus on our work. Sometimes we lose track of time because there are no windows in the main storage area. We don't have a big advertising budget. We just hope that if we do things right, people will keep coming back to E-191/6. It’s not a glamorous job, but it pays the bills and keeps us busy. We’ve been in Chand Bagh for a while now and we don't plan on moving anywhere else anytime soon.
