Want

Our place is called Want, and we are tucked away at L20 in Gali No-41. This is in Sadat Pur, which sits right near the border of Delhi and Haryana. If you have ever been to this part of town, you know the streets are very narrow and can get quite busy with scooters and people walking. Gali 41 is just one of many lanes here. We have a small setup that doesn't look like much from the outside. Inside, it’s just me and a couple of others. We handle whatever comes our way throughout the day. It’s a local business through and through. We don't have a big budget for decorations, so the walls are just plain and we have what we need to work. Life in Sadat Pur is pretty simple. Everyone knows everyone else's business. We have been here for a while and we have seen the area change a bit, but our little spot stays mostly the same. We don't have any grand plans. We just want to do our job well enough that we can keep the doors open and come back tomorrow. It gets very cold here in the winter, so we usually have a small heater going while we work. It’s just a basic way of living and working in this part of Delhi. We do our thing and stay out of trouble. It's nothing fancy, just Want and our daily routine.
