Shama Handicrafts

We are located deep in Maujpur at 700/45, right in Gali Number 24 of Vijay Park. If you know this part of Delhi, you know the streets are narrow and always full of life. Our workspace is part of the local fabric here. We do a lot of hand-made work, mostly focusing on traditional crafts that take a lot of time and patience. The room is often filled with the smell of raw materials and the sound of people working quietly. We have stacks of finished goods sitting in the corners, wrapped up and ready to go. It is a very humble setup. We don't have a fancy website or a marketing person. Most of what we do is just passed down through the family or learned by working here for years. The light coming through the small windows isn't always enough, so we use bright bulbs over the workstations. Gali Number 24 can be a bit tricky to navigate if you are driving, so most people just walk in. We like being in Vijay Park because it feels like a real community where everyone knows what everyone else is doing. We just keep to our work and try to finish each piece as best as we can. It’s not about being the biggest shop, just about staying busy and doing what we've always done in this neighborhood for years. There is always something new to be made on the benches.
