If you look for us at 41315 Nandnagri Phase II, you will find us in one of those DSIDC sheds. It is right near the police station, which is a good landmark because people always get lost trying to find this specific block. At R A H Handicraft, the air is usually full of the smell of materials and maybe a bit of dust depending on what we are working on that day. It is a work shed, not a showroom, so there are boxes stacked up high and scraps on the floor most of the time. We have a few people who have been with us for years, just sitting and working on the different pieces. It isn't quiet here; there is always some tapping or the sound of someone moving crates around. We drink a lot of tea to keep going, especially in the afternoons when it gets a bit sluggish and hot. The lighting isn't the best, but we are used to it by now. Sometimes the power goes out and we just sit outside by the shed door until it comes back on. It’s not the kind of place where you wear a suit. Most of us just wear old clothes that we don't mind getting dirty with glue or paint. We do our best to finish the orders on time, though sometimes things get delayed when the raw materials don't show up. It is just honest work in a dusty part of the city and we like it.
