National Handicrafts

You can find National Handicrafts over at A-27, Gali No-2 in Chandu Nagar. We are right in the Karwal Nagar area, near the Bhajan Pura road. It’s a very busy part of town with a lot of shops and people constantly moving back and forth. Our building is nothing special to look at, just a sturdy place where we store all our handicrafts. The alleyway outside is narrow, so it’s always a bit of a struggle when we have to get bigger deliveries in or out. We’ve got stacks of items reaching almost to the ceiling in some rooms. It’s a bit of a squeeze sometimes. We have a few local guys who come in every day to help with the heavy lifting and the packing. It’s a loud place, between the noise from the street and the sound of tape dispensers and boxes being moved. We don’t have a fancy corporate structure. If someone has a question, they just shout it across the room. We eat our lunch together and then get back to work. It’s a lot of manual labor and keeping track of many small pieces. Karwal Nagar has its own rhythm and we are just a small part of it. We’ve been here long enough that the neighbors don’t even notice the noise we make anymore. It’s just how we earn our living.
