Star Handicrafts

Star Handicrafts is a small operation we run out of C 427/7 in C Block. We are situated in Shri Ram Colony, which is part of the Rajiv Nagar area. It’s a bit of a trek to get here if you aren’t from this side of town, but it’s where we do all our work. We make various handcrafted items, mostly things we’ve learned to put together over the years. Our space isn't very large, so we have to be careful about where we stack the materials and the finished pieces. It’s a local neighborhood, so you’ll often hear kids playing outside or neighbors chatting while we are working on a project. We don’t have a big marketing team or a fancy website. Usually, we just show people what we’ve made and if they like it, they buy it. Sometimes we take special requests if it’s something we know how to handle. The light in the workshop isn't always the best, but we make it work. Working with your hands is slow, and it can be tiring, but there’s a certain satisfaction in seeing a finished piece ready to go. We’ve been at this spot in Shri Ram Colony for a while and the people around here know us. We aren't trying to change the world; we just want to keep making our crafts and earning a decent living. It’s a simple life and a simple business, just the way we like it.
