Our shop is located at 604 in the Main Market of Sadar Bazar. If you know anything about Delhi, you know that Sadar Bazar is one of the most hectic and crowded places you can visit. Ram Rakha Mal Shanti Parshad Jain is a family name that has been around for quite a while. We aren't a modern retail outlet with air conditioning and soft music. We are a traditional market business. The shop is narrow and filled to the ceiling with stock. We know exactly where everything is, even if it looks like a bit of a mess to someone walking in for the first time. We spend our days sitting on the floor or on small stools, talking to customers and taking orders. It’s a noisy environment with people shouting and carts rattling past the door constantly. We drink a lot of tea and talk to the other shopkeepers on our stretch of the market. It’s a way of life that requires a lot of patience and hard work. We don't use fancy technology for everything; a lot of our accounts are still kept in heavy ledgers. We just keep doing what we’ve always done in the heart of the bazaar and hope for a good day.
