New Shri Balaji Sweet Corner

Our shop is right on the Main Shiv Mandir Road in Sarup Nagar. Being near the temple means we get a lot of people stopping by on their way to or from their prayers. We start our day very early, making sure the fresh batches are ready before the first group of people arrives. The smell of frying usually fills the air by six in the morning. It’s a dusty road, so we’re always wiping down the glass cases to keep things looking okay. We have a few benches where people can sit for a minute, but most just grab what they need and go. The counter is usually covered in paper bags and boxes. My father started this place, and I’ve been helping out since I was a teenager. We don’t use any fancy machinery; most things are done by hand. It’s slower that way, but it’s how we’ve always done it. Sometimes the electricity goes out, and we have to use torches to see what we’re doing. It’s just part of living and working in this part of town. We know most of the people who live on this street by name. It feels more like a community spot than a business sometimes. We just keep making the sweets and hope the day goes well. We focus on the daily chores and try to stay helpful to the neighbors.
