Narulas Sweets

Narulas Sweets is over in Ashok Vihar Phase I, located in the Alvert Tower area near the Murga Market. It’s a place that smells like sugar and fried dough most of the time. We have been making sweets here for quite a while now. The kitchen is in the back, and that is where all the actual work happens with the big vats of milk and sugar. It gets very hot back there, especially in the summer. Out front, we have glass cases where we put everything out so people can see what we made that morning. We aren't a big fancy restaurant, just a local sweet shop where you can pick up a box of something for a party or just a small treat for yourself. The floors are a bit worn down from all the walking, and the chairs are just basic plastic ones. We try to keep things tidy, but when the market gets busy, it’s hard to stay on top of everything. My uncle started this place, and now a few of us cousins run it together. We have our regulars who come in every single day for their favorites. We don't use any fancy packaging, just the standard boxes and bags that everyone else uses. It’s a busy life, especially during the festival seasons when we have to stay up half the night to get the orders finished on time for everyone.
