Our place is over at A 199 in Gujrawala Town Part 1, right near G T Karnal Road. Nanaji Namkeen Udyog Pvt Ltd has been around for quite a while. If you walk past, you can usually smell the spices. We make a lot of different snacks. It’s a factory setup, so there are machines running most of the time. We have people sorting through ingredients and packing things into bags. It’s a lot of manual work. The floor is always covered in a bit of flour or salt, no matter how much we sweep. We have trucks coming in and out all day to pick up the crates. G T Karnal Road is always packed with traffic, so we have to time our deliveries carefully. We don’t have a fancy office. Most of the paperwork happens at a small desk near the entrance. It’s noisy and busy, but that’s just how food production is. We’ve got a small crew who have been with us for years. We know the rhythm of the machines. When something breaks, we fix it ourselves. It’s a simple business of making snacks and getting them to the shops. We don't spend money on big ads. We just keep the production line moving every day. Sometimes we run out of packaging and have to wait for the supplier. The clock in the breakroom has stopped, but nobody seems to mind. We just watch the sun to know when to leave.
