Bhikharam'S

If you have ever walked through Chandni Chowk down at Khari Baoli Road 251, you know exactly what the air feels like there. It is thick with the smell of spices and the sound of people pushing carts. That is where Bhikharam’S is located. We have been in this spot for a long time, right in the middle of all that noise and dust. The shop isn't fancy or anything like that. We spend most of our mornings just getting the counters ready and making sure the trays are filled up. Usually, the sun isn't even fully up when the first batch of stuff is being prepped. It gets really hot in the back where the cooking happens, especially in the Delhi summers, but we just get on with it. People come in mostly because they are already in the market buying other things and they need a snack or some sweets to take home. We don't have a big team, just a few of us who know where everything is kept. Sometimes the floor gets a bit messy when it’s busy, but we sweep it up when there is a gap in the crowd. It is a simple way to work, really. We don’t spend money on big signs or anything. The address is easy to find if you know the landmark, though the traffic on Khari Baoli Road makes it slow to get here. We just keep the doors open and wait for the regulars to show up.
