My family has been at Khanna Market for quite some time now. We are right at number 62, and mostly people know us because they’ve been coming here since they were kids. It’s a small place in Lodhi Colony, nothing too fancy. We just stock the usual things people need for their hair and skin. Sometimes the shelves get a bit crowded when a new shipment arrives. It is just me and a couple of others helping out most days. We open up early and stay until the market starts to quiet down in the evening. There isn't a website or anything like that, we just talk to whoever walks in. People come in asking for specific threads or creams they saw somewhere, and we try to find it in the back if it's not on the shelf. Lodhi Colony has changed a lot over the years, but our spot stays pretty much the same. The floor is a bit worn out from all the walking, but it works. We don’t really do big advertisements. Most of our day is just chatting with the regulars who live nearby and need a quick refill on their soap or hair oil. It gets busy on weekends when everyone has time off. Sometimes it’s a bit messy with boxes near the door. We just try to keep things moving and make sure nobody is waiting too long for their change.
