Alfa Beauty Saloon

Our shop is in the Main Market of Mahipalpur. It’s right opposite the Bank of India, which is a big landmark here. Mahipalpur is always crowded because of the airport nearby and all the hotels. We get a lot of locals but also some people just passing through. It’s a basic beauty saloon. We do hair, shaves, and some skin work. The shop isn't very large, but we make use of the space we have. The chairs are lined up against the wall. We have a big window at the front so we can see what’s happening in the market. It’s a very noisy area with all the cars and people shouting. We’ve been here for quite some time now. The walls could probably use a new coat of paint, but we haven't gotten around to it yet. We just focus on the customers. Most of them are looking for a quick service at a fair price. We don't have any fancy brochures or anything. We just talk to people and find out what they want. Sometimes we have a backlog on Sunday afternoons. We try to keep the place organized, though it gets messy when we are busy. It’s an honest living in a busy part of Delhi. We just keep going day by day, making sure everyone who walks in leaves looking better than they did when they arrived. The market is tough but we have our spot and we stick to it.
