Black Brown Saloon

Being up here on the first floor of the Regal Building in Connaught Place is interesting. Black Brown Saloon is tucked into Unit 25/1, and if you know Delhi, you know how busy CP gets. It’s always loud outside with people walking around the circles and the traffic never really stops. Our windows look out, and sometimes we just watch the crowds for a minute when it’s quiet inside. The building itself has so much history, you can feel it in the walls and the high ceilings. It’s not a modern glass box, it’s got character, even if the stairs are a bit steep. We spend a lot of time just keeping the equipment ready. We get all sorts of people here, from office workers on their lunch break to students hanging out in the city. Since we are in the heart of the city, there is a lot of energy. We don’t have fancy decorations, just the basic stuff we need to get through the day. Sometimes the tea man comes by and we take a quick break. It gets hot in the summer, so we keep the fans going at full speed. People come in looking a bit tired from the heat and leave looking a bit fresher. It’s a simple routine we have followed for a long time. We don't try to be anything we aren't, just a local spot in a very famous building.
