Zaika Tiffin Services

Zaika Tiffin Services is run from our place in the Preeti building in Sector No 2, Airoli. We started this because we saw so many people working in the area who didn't have time to cook but wanted something that tasted like home. Every day follows a pretty strict schedule. We have to be at the market early to get the vegetables and then it’s straight to the kitchen. There’s a lot of chopping, stirring, and eventually packing everything into the steel tiffin boxes. You can hear the lids clicking shut for hours. It’s a lot of work for a small team, but we’ve got a good system going now. We deliver all over Airoli, and we’ve gotten to know the shortcuts through the sectors to make sure the food arrives while it’s still warm. We don't have a big storefront or a fancy dining room. It’s just a clean kitchen where we focus on the cooking. Sometimes we get a bit behind if the traffic is bad or someone is out sick, but we always manage to get the tiffins out. It’s a simple business, really. We just make the kind of food we would eat ourselves and hope that the people who get our tiffins feel a bit more at home while they're at their desks. It’s not much, but it’s what we do for the neighborhood.
