We’ve been out here in Wangapally Village at survey numbers 156 and 157 for a while now. It’s a quiet spot most mornings until the machines start up at Laxminarasimha Psc Pipes Pvt. Ltd. Making these concrete pipes is heavy work, honestly. It’s not fancy or anything. Most days it is just us making sure the mix is right and the molds are set properly. The yard gets pretty dusty when the trucks come in to load up, but that’s just how it goes in this business. We have a small group of guys from the nearby areas who show up every day to get the job done. Sometimes the weather makes things difficult, like when the rains turn the ground into a mess, but we still manage to keep things moving. We don't really do big meetings or anything like that. We just talk over tea in the morning about what needs to be cast for the day. It is a lot of physical labor, lifting and moving stuff around the site. We’ve seen the village change a bit over the years, but our gate stays the same. People around here know where we are if they need pipes for a project. It is just a practical place. We don't have a big office or a lobby. Just the shed and the yard where the pipes sit out to dry in the sun before they head out to wherever they're needed.
