Deccan Cements

We are located at P.B.No:1 in Mirayalguda. Being in Nalgonda, especially in a place like this, means we are right in the heart of the cement belt. This office has been around for ages. You can tell by the way the building looks and the old files we still keep in the back. It’s not a modern glass building by any means. We have thick walls that help keep the heat out during those long Andhra Pradesh summers. Most of the people working here have been with Deccan Cements for a good portion of their lives. We know the local farmers and the transport guys by name. Our work is pretty repetitive, honestly. We track shipments, handle the local billing, and make sure the phones are answered. There is a specific rhythm to the day that everyone just follows. We take our lunch breaks together and usually talk about local news or family stuff. We don't really go in for those corporate team-building things. Working together every day for years is enough to know how to get along. The furniture is a bit worn, and the ceiling fans make a bit of noise, but it’s a comfortable place to work. We just focus on getting the cement to where it needs to go and making sure the records are straight at the end of every month.
