This is the Nalgonda unit, specifically over at Q.No-D5 in the ICL Colony. We are tucked away in Vishnupuram, near the Wadapalli post office. Being in a colony means we are right in the middle of where people live and work. It is a tight-knit community here. K.S. Chakradhar is the name associated with this spot. The India Cements Ltd. has a long history in this region of Andhra Pradesh, or AP-508355 as the mail says. The office is pretty basic and functional. We have some old wooden furniture and a few filing cabinets that have seen better days. It is dusty out here sometimes, especially when the wind picks up across the plains. We spend our hours looking at spreadsheets and talking to the plant guys on the radio. It is often loud because of the machinery nearby, but you get used to the rhythm after a week. We drink tea twice a day, usually around eleven and four. The windows stay shut mostly to keep the heat and the noise out. We do not have any polished brochures to hand out to people. We just do the work. If there is a problem with a shipment, we try to fix it. If someone needs a receipt, we print it out. It is honest work. The colony is quiet in the afternoons when most people are staying inside. We like the routine here. It is a steady place to be.
