Shubham Flour Mill

Being at number 23 in Sai-Prasad Jai-Hind Colony keeps us pretty busy most days of the week. Shubham Flour Mill is located right near the Sonali Provision Shop, which is a good landmark for anyone trying to find us in Khotenagar. The machines make a lot of noise, so you can usually hear us before you see us. It gets quite dusty inside with all the grain being processed, and we spend a lot of time sweeping up at the end of the shift. Most of our neighbors know us by now. It’s a quiet enough colony, but there's always someone coming or going near the shop. We don’t have any fancy office space, just the work area and a small place to sit when things slow down. Khotenagar has changed over the years, but we’ve stayed right here. Sometimes the heat gets to be a bit much in the afternoons, but we just keep the fans going and get on with it. It’s hard work, and our hands are usually covered in flour by the time we head home. We don’t do much advertising; people just know where we are because they’ve been coming here for years. The delivery scooters are always parked out front, sometimes blocking the path a little. It’s not perfect, but it’s our routine. Dealing with the daily grind at Shubham Flour Mill is just part of living in this part of town.
