Kwick Idly

Kwick Idly is down on Central Avenue in Nagpur, right in the Chapru Nager area. We are located beside the Sendre Complex and if you look up, you will see we are directly below the Domino's Pizza. It’s a funny spot to be, but it works out well for us. Central Avenue is one of those roads that never seems to sleep, so there is always someone looking for a snack. We focus on idlis because they are simple, healthy, and people never seem to get tired of them. We start very early in the morning to get the batter ready and the steam going. There is something nice about the smell of fresh idlis in the morning before the city gets too noisy. We aren't a big fancy restaurant; it is more of a counter where you get your food and enjoy it. Because we are near the complex, we get a lot of office workers and shoppers throughout the day. The space is small and we have to keep things very organized to stay efficient. We don't have a big team, just a few of us making sure the sambar is hot and the chutney is fresh. It’s a very grounded business. We like being part of the Nagpur food scene even if we are just a small part of it. We just do our thing and hope people enjoy the food. That is all there really is to it.
