Shivjal Water Plant

Our water plant, Shivjal, is out in the Gadchiroli district. Specifically, we are located in the Sironcha tehsil. It is a bit of a distance from the bigger towns, but we like it here. The work is pretty repetitive but it’s important for the local area. We spend most of our time looking after the filters and making sure the water is flowing right. Gadchiroli can be a tough place with the weather, but we stay open regardless. It’s a small operation with only a few of us working at any one time. We don't have a big corporate board or any of that. Just some guys making sure people have water. The building is simple, mostly just walls and the plant equipment inside. We don’t even have a proper paved road all the way to the door. Sometimes when it rains, it gets a bit muddy around the entrance. We just wear our boots and keep going. Most of the people in Sironcha know where we are. We don't do any big advertising. If someone needs water, they know to come find us. It’s a basic life and a basic business. We take things one day at a time and try to keep the machinery running smoothly. It's not a glamorous job, but it’s what we do here in Sironcha. Every day is pretty much the same and we are okay with that. We just keep working along.
