Our shop is Number 32 over in Bansilal Nagar. It’s on the Station Road, which as anyone knows, is always a bit of a nightmare with the crowds. We are tucked away behind Hotel Tandoor. That hotel is a big landmark, so we just tell people to look for that and then come around the back. We deal with food items mostly. The back area where we are is a bit quieter than the main road, but you still hear everything. It’s a practical sort of place. We spend most of the day packing things or talking to the delivery guys who bring the supplies in. The walls are just plain and we have a lot of crates stacked up everywhere. Sometimes it feels a bit cramped when we get a big shipment, but we manage. People find us because they live nearby or they’ve heard about us from someone else in the area. We don’t do much else besides making sure the food is stored right and getting it to the people who want it. Bansilal Nagar has a lot of little shops like ours. It’s not like those big malls. You get to know the delivery boys and the other shop owners around the hotel. It’s just a regular business on a regular street. We open up, do the work, and go home when the sun sets. It keeps us busy and the location is good enough for us.
