Rahul Patel Architects & Interior Designer. Our office is in the Sai Regency building, right at Telephone Exchange Square. It’s a busy part of Lakad Ganj. We are directly opposite the Lakadganj Police Station, so it’s impossible to miss us if you’re in the area. The traffic outside can get a bit loud, but inside we stay focused on the interior designs and building plans. We handle both the architecture side and the inside decor stuff. It keeps us busy. Some days we are picking out tiles and other days we are looking at structural beams. It’s a mix of things. The office has been here for a while. We know the shopkeepers around the square. Usually, we start the day with a lot of coffee and a list of sites to visit. It’s not just sitting in an AC room all day; we have to go out and see how the walls are coming up. Dealing with the police station across the street means it’s a pretty safe spot, though parking can be a bit of a headache during peak hours. We try to keep our work honest and simple. We don't use much fancy software if a hand sketch works better. It’s just how we learned to do things. Most of our clients are locals who want to fix up their homes or build something new. We just listen to what they want and try to make it work. It's a busy life.
