You can find us over by the Nehru Putla in the Itwari area of Nagpur. Shriram Food Industry Pvt. Ltd. is right in the middle of one of the busiest markets you’ll ever see. We deal with food processing, so the smell of grains and spices is always in the air around our building. It gets incredibly hot in Nagpur, and our workspace is no exception, especially with the machinery running. We spend our days hauling sacks, checking the quality of the raw materials, and making sure the packaging is done right. It’s a very hands-on job. Itwari is a place where you have to shout to be heard over the noise of the rickshaws and the loaders. We’ve been in this spot for a long time and know most of the other traders around the statue. We aren't a polished corporate entity; we’re a local business that understands the food trade. There are always stacks of bags waiting to be moved and invoices to be signed. Sometimes the monsoon rains make it hard to keep everything dry, so we have to be extra careful. We just try to do a good job with the food we process and get it out to the shops. It’s a lot of sweat and hard work, but it’s a living we’re proud of. Most of us have been working here for years and know the routine perfectly.
