Central India Herbs Pvt. Ltd. is based at number 14 in Vankhandeshwar Nagar. It’s a residential-looking area, so it feels a bit more relaxed than the industrial zones. The building is a simple two-story place. We use the ground floor for most of the heavy lifting. There is a small gate at the front that squeaks whenever someone comes in. We’ve been meaning to oil it for months but never get around to it. The rooms inside are filled with various bags and boxes. There is a faint earthy smell that stays in your clothes long after you leave. Vankhandeshwar Nagar has some nice spots with shadows where you can escape the heat. We usually have the radio playing in the background while we work. It’s mostly just us and the occasional delivery driver. Number 14 has a small porch where we keep some plants that don't seem to mind the dust. Central India Herbs Pvt. Ltd. is a small team. We all know each other’s habits.
