Ritika Granite & Tiles

Ritika Granite & Tiles is out here in Degana right on the Rajasthan State Highway 59. We are very easy to spot because we are right near the Shiv Mandir. The highway is always busy with trucks carrying stone and marble but we have our own little rhythm here. We spend our days cutting tiles and moving heavy slabs of granite around the yard. It is very loud and the dust from the stone is everywhere. You can hear the morning prayers from the mandir while we are starting our first loads of the day. Rajasthan is famous for its stone and we are just one of the many places helping to get it ready for people's homes. We have a lot of different patterns and colors piled up in the back. It is not a very tidy place but it is where the work gets done. The sun is really hot on the highway so we drink a lot of water and try to stay in the shade of the warehouse when we can. We don't have a sales team or anything corporate like that. We just show people what we have and help them load it onto their trucks. It is a basic business of heavy lifting and stone cutting. We like being near the temple because it brings a bit of peace to a noisy workday.
