H. M. M. Marble

H. M. M. Marble is situated on the Bye Pass Road in Makrana, right near the Gurudwara. If you know the area, we are pretty easy to find. Makrana is a place where almost everyone is in the stone business, and we are no different from the rest. We have a yard full of marble that we spend all day sorting through and moving. It is a family thing, so there is always someone around to talk to. We don’t have any fancy office or air conditioning to show off. It is just us, the slabs, and the cutting tools. The dust gets everywhere, even in your tea if you aren't careful enough to cover it. We get all sorts of people coming through, from locals to folks from further away. We just show them what we have in the stacks at that moment. Sometimes the inventory changes fast and other times it stays the same for weeks. The road outside is always loud with traffic, but you get used to that sound. We have been at this spot for years and seen the town change quite a bit since we started. We don’t use any complicated sales tactics. We just show the stone as it is and let people decide for themselves. It is a simple life and we like the work, even if it’s heavy.
