Raghu Marbles

You will find us on the By Pass Road in Makrana. We are right near the Reliance Petrol Pumps, which makes it easy for the truck drivers to find us. Being in Makrana means stone is in the blood of everyone around here. The bypass is a busy stretch with vehicles always moving towards the bigger cities. Our place is basically a large open area where the marble is kept. The ground is white with years of accumulated stone dust. It’s a rugged environment. We don't have much in the way of comforts. There’s a small desk where we keep the bills and a few chairs for when friends drop by. The smell of diesel from the pumps nearby is always in the air. We deal with the heavy blocks that come straight from the quarries. It’s a loud, messy process getting things sorted and loaded. We don’t do any fancy brochures or sales pitches. The stone speaks for itself. If someone wants a particular type of Makrana marble, they know to come to this road. We have seen the town grow and the bypass get busier over time, but the way we work hasn't changed much. It’s about the muscle and the eye for the right piece of rock. We just keep our heads down and get the loading done before the sun sets on the yard.
