Vasavi Lions Vidyanikethana

If you travel down Najangudu Road in T Narasipura, you will find our school, Vasavi Lions Vidyanikethana. It is right there in the Mysore district, and most people in the locality know exactly where we are. I’ve been working here for a while now, and the routine is pretty much the same every day. We open the gates early because some kids arrive way before the first bell. The road outside can get a bit crowded with buses and cars going towards Najangudu, so we have to be careful with the little ones. Our building has a few floors, and the stairs are always full of students running up and down during the breaks. We have a small playground where they spend their free time, though it gets quite hot in the afternoons. The staff room is usually a mess of papers and lunch boxes, which is just how things go when you’re busy teaching. We don’t have fancy marketing people writing stuff for us. We just focus on the classes and making sure the registers are signed. T Narasipura is a nice place to live and work, even if it feels a bit slow compared to the main Mysore city. Most of our students live nearby, so we know their parents and even their grandparents sometimes. It’s a very local feel here. We just try to keep the place running smoothly and make sure everyone gets their work done before the sun goes down.
