You can find Jnanasarovara International Residential School out in the Parashuramanagara area, specifically in Bhugathahalli along Bannur Road. It’s located in Vajamangala, which is on the edges of Mysore. Being a residential school, it feels a bit different than a day school. There are dorms where the students stay, and the lights are usually on until late in the evening. The campus is spread out with a lot of open space, which is good because it’s a bit away from the main city noise. We have a dining hall where everyone eats together, and that place gets really loud three times a day. The staff mostly lives on or near the grounds too. The road out here, Bannur Road, has been getting busier lately, but our spot remains fairly quiet. There is a lot of green space around the buildings where the kids can run or just sit under the trees. We don’t have a lot of polished marble or fancy statues, just plain brick and mortar that gets the job done. It’s a place where kids live and learn, so it feels more like a big house than a corporate office. Sometimes the internet is a bit slow out here, but we manage. It’s a hardworking environment, and we just take things one day at a time, making sure the students are looked after and the classes happen as scheduled. It is just life on a campus where everything happens in one place.
