Gangothri Vidyashala

Our school, Gangothri Vidyashala, is over at No 121/1 on the Church Cross, right off Bogadi Main Road in Mysore. We are pretty close to the Manasagangothri area, which is a busy part of the city with the university nearby. Being on Bogadi Main Road means there is always something going on outside our doors. We’ve been in this spot for a long time, and the building has seen a lot of students come and go. It’s a standard school setup. We have the classrooms, a small office, and a bit of space for the kids when they aren't in lessons. Every day is pretty much the same—we open up, the kids come in, and we get to work on the books. We don't have any fancy mission statements or anything like that. We just want to make sure the kids get through their lessons and learn what they need to. The teachers here are local folks who have been around for years. Sometimes the traffic on the main road makes things a bit noisy, but we’ve mostly gotten used to it by now. It’s a practical, no-nonsense kind of place. We don't try to be something we aren't. We just provide a place for kids to go to school in this part of Mysore. It’s hard work, but it’s what we know how to do best for the families.
