Chinmaya Vidyalaya Composite Pre-University College

This place is tucked away in J L Puram, right here in the Jayalakshmipuram area of Mysore. It’s a college for those two crucial years before kids go off to university. Being in Mysore, things are generally a bit quieter than the big cities, but our campus gets plenty busy once the bell rings. We have students coming from all over the neighborhood. The building is older, with that classic feel you find in this part of Mysore. We don't spend money on fancy advertisements or big billboards. Most families around here know us because their older kids or neighbors came here. Every morning is a rush of bicycles and students walking through the gates. The staff room is usually piled high with notebooks and half-finished cups of tea. We spend a lot of time worrying about exams and making sure the students are actually reading their notes. It's a lot of responsibility, taking these teenagers and trying to get them through their PU courses. Sometimes the hallways are a bit dim, and we’re always asking the maintenance guy to fix a light or a desk. It's a real school with real daily problems. We just try to get through the portions before the final exams start looming over everyone. It’s just how things go here at Jayalakshmipuram. We are part of the scenery now, just a regular college doing its thing day after day. It is a bit hectic, but we manage somehow.
