People around Mysore know Shankar Mutt Road well because it stays busy most of the day. Our place, Sree Nataraja School Of Nursing, sits right in the Hosmat area of KR Mohalla. It’s an old part of town with a lot of character. We’ve been here for a while now, focusing on getting students ready for nursing work. Most mornings start with everyone rushing in to get to their practicals or lectures on time. It isn't a fancy setup, just a solid building where people come to learn the basics of patient care. The street outside has some nice tea stalls where the staff and students go during breaks. You’ll see the white uniforms moving around the neighborhood quite a bit. It’s a serious job, teaching how to handle health issues, but we try to keep things practical. We don't have big flashy signs. It’s more about the books and the clinical stuff that happens inside. Living and working in KR Mohalla means you get used to the sounds of the city while trying to focus on anatomy or bandage techniques. Sometimes the electricity goes out for a bit, but we just carry on with whatever we were doing. It feels like a real community here. We have people from different backgrounds coming to stay in the hostels nearby. Everyone is just trying to get through their exams and start their careers in hospitals. That’s pretty much how it goes here every single day.
